If the Settings link for Facebook/Twitter is bothering you and you use Firefox, there's an add on that you can use to block the link and remove it from all pages. I haven't found a workaround for any other browser.

NOTE: I'm FINALLY UPDATING THE CONSOLE.

And since it's been over eight months (!!) since the last one, I'm rehauling it AGAIN and making it brand-new/copied from the campers/counselor pages, as well as adding in an "added since last time" section and of course the remove list. It'll be posted later tonight.
